Creating Mindfulness

A great way to be mindful is to turn off autopilot. To take away conditioned habits and focus on the task at hand, actually be conscious in that moment.

For example:
Eating in front of the TV.  Mindlessly munching away with no idea if you are even enjoying what your eating. Walking to work, actually taking note of your steps, looking up at the buildings around you, the people walking past.

I have started to do this when I am waiting for a coffee my habit was to flick mindlessly through instagram. Now I wait for my coffee look at my surroundings, people watching so fun.

Some other way to quieten the mind and find that focus, is yoga, meditation and tai chi to name a few.
